My Elliot is really really sick.
Ever since I got back from Portland, it has been clear that something is wrong. At first I thought it was just that he was mad at me for going away again, then thought maybe it was cat depression and then in the last few days its become clear that it was something more serious.
We went to the vets yesterday and I just got a call about the diagnosis. He has kidney disease and is in pretty bad shape. He'll be in the hospital for the next few days and hopefully all that they'll do for him will get him through to a place that we can maintain a good quality of life for him. He's really young to have all this happening.
My heart hurts.
Its no secret I’m a full-on cat lady. These two meow-meows and I have been together through a lot and they are the king of my heart and the queen of my love.
I'm trying to spend every free moment i can with him purring on my lap and I'm so hoping that he'll push through and get back to his beautiful, quirky, spirited self. The next few days will tell...

Thinking of you, Vivvers. I've had lots of cat heartache from having to let go of a newly-discovered-'I'm an outdoor cat' to a place with a yard to not being home when one of mine died. I really feel for you right now... hold him lots and know that you're his world, no matter what's going on.
