polaroid experiments

inspired by this post by the lovely suvarna, i too shut myself in my dark bathroom the other day in order to attempt to transfer the unused polaroids from a pack of sx-70 film that came with an old camera i bought a while back into an empty 779 pack. the sx-70 film, which turned out to be pretty much full, clearly had an expired battery. like suvarna, i figured whats the harm in attempting such a process even if nothing came of it.
despite the many hours this fall i logged in the darkroom, becoming much better at loading film onto a reel in complete darkness, it wasn't totally a smooth process and i kind of just shoved them in there and hoped for the best!
well, this is what came of it. none of the other images worked at all and these two emerged pretty much a hot mess, but they made me happy anyways!

Hola, Hola Vivienne! Your images make me happy too!
most beautiful hot mess that i've seen in a while!! i love it when my polaroids come out all wonky and unexpected like this! xoxox
Vivienne, you have prompted me to get out my old SX-70, which still has a few shots left on a very old roll of film. Is it possible to use another kind of film in the camera?? (I know the true time-zero is no longer made)
ok, those are beautiful reminding me of leaves, branches and the likes but danged if i can wrap my head around how you did it!
looks like a success to me, the one on the right is a gorgeous hot mess!
xooxxo
