i'm in the land of minimal internet access at the moment but have come to the next town over to a little cafe to connect!
i had a gorgeous weekend in winnipeg shooting a wedding (beautiful ceremony and an epic dance party and my first time doing a photo-booth at the reception...such a hoot). most of the above photos are from my wanderings in winnipeg. that city totally exceeded my expectations and it was so fabulous to be in the company of vancouver friends outside of our normal context.
i definitely took on way way way too much this month. 3 weddings, lots of travel and writing/launching a big project...lets just say i'm more than a bit overwhelmed. but doing my best to gather myself and get back into focus.

Do you know about the blog Winnipeg Love/Hate? It's daily photos of the city-all kinds of quirky little things. I was poking through the archives one day and they had pics of the neighbourhood I grew up in-the store I used to get groceries at, all my old haunts. It was so odd looking at them after all this time.
You are missing out on the coolest weather we've had in some time here. The weekend was a beautiful misty rain that didn't even make anything wet. It was shades of Autumn.
my day was fabulous. I met a lovely couple at our newly remodeled library; the wife was well aquainted with my work, and the husband was an artist; so we all had a wonderful conversation!
Dinner with my family was lovely, and now the sun is setting on this hot August day calling me to shoot pics of it....

You're hanging out in my brand new grandson's city...funny...whenever we've visited, we've never had the chance to see much of the city - so involved with cramming in every minute with family. Thanks for sharing some highlights. Too often we see only the big picture and miss the stunning details.
