getting grounded

grounding

food made from fresh green veggies

running

getting lost in the movement of a dance class

deep divine sleep

these are the things i'm diving into right now to get grounded and thankfully they are working.

yesterday's run and then a night of very restorative sleep has me feeling like a new lady. how come its so easy to forget the little things that bring us back to ourselves?

what gets you grounded, unstuck, unstressed or gets you rooted back into yourself?

:) unplugging from the computer, t.v., and books - being totally devoid of other people's stories helps me focus and appreciate my own.
-cooking -music / dance -enjoying a morning in bed without tending to the house -coffee.

I have a set of "Basics" that range from morning pages (journalling) to cleaning house to computer-free time on the couch. When life feels too chaotic I streamline back to these to ground myself into the present and come back to the core.

movement (yoga or shiva nata or hiking on the trails), nature, and snuggling with the furry one.

come to think of it, little chores like cleaning the kitchen seem to ground me as well.
